What is the difference between a fruit and a vegetable? Some of us believe that cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes are vegetables.
However, they are not vegetables! We use them the same way we use other vegetables and that is why we think these are vegetables, too.

The Difference between a Fruit and a Vegetable
A fruit can be defined as a fleshy and sweet plant product. Some of the fruits we all know quite well include orange, plums, apples, apricots, etc.

You can also consume fresh fruits to get some important vitamins. If you are on a weight loss diet, you should include fresh fruits in your daily menu. You will eat healthy foods without having to worry about calories. You will also get some very important nutrients.
A vegetable is a term used for various plants. We use them for various dishes. There are many different types of vegetables. We use the leaves, the roots or other edible parts.

Vegetables do not have any precise botanical definition. We define them in negative terms, as edible parts of some plant that is not a fruit.
Vegetables are considered very healthy. In fact, every nutritionist will tell you to eat fresh fruits and vegetables at least several times a week. If you want to lose some weight, or you simply want to have a healthy life, you should include various vegetables and fruits in your diet. Vegetables are great with all kinds of meat. You can combine several different vegetables to make delicious meals. You can use them for sauces and soups, too. Fresh vegetables are considered the healthiest, but you can also boil them or fry them with meat.
