Gonorrhea is one of the common sexually transmitted diseases. The incubation lasts from two to ten days after the unprotected sexual intercourse. This condition is characterized by thick or bloody penis discharge, frequent and painful urination. In some men, gonorrhea shows no symptoms at all.


Chlamydia is perhaps the most common STD. This is a bacterial infection affecting both men and women. The symptoms of Chlamydia are testicles pain, painful urination and discharge form the penis. Pain in lower abdomen is also possible. In some cases, Chlamydia shows no symptoms, so you can easily transmit it to other people. Chlamydia must be treated in time, before it results in complications that are more serious.

Genital Herpes

Genital herpes is caused by HSV (herpes simplex virus). Many men have this virus, but they are not aware of the infection. This disease is asymptomatic in the beginning. Even if the symptoms occur, they will probably be mild and a man will not even notice them. However, genital herpes symptoms usually occur when your immune system is weak, due to flu or cold. You can see small bumps in your genital area. These bumps are usually red.

Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C

Many people who have hepatitis do not have any symptoms. When they occur, hepatitis symptoms include nausea, fatigue, vomiting, appetite loss, fever, muscle pain, pain in joints and abdominal pain. Urine can change color to dark yellow and skin can turn yellow, too.


Syphilis symptoms include glands swelling and sore in the genital area, muscle pain, headaches, appetite loss, tiredness, skin rashes, weight loss, sore throat and hair loss. Syphilis can be very dangerous and lead to paralysis, blindness and even insanity. Several decades ago, people used to die from syphilis.

Genital Warts – HPV

HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) is another common sexually transmitted disease. The symptoms of this disease usually include small genital warts o the penis and around the anus. The bumps are not painful and sometimes they are very hard to see. During the later stage of the infection, these bumps can get bigger and cause itching. In some cases, HPV shows no symptoms.


Human Immunodeficiency Virus is a deadly virus, affecting both men and women. Everyone can get infected if he/she doesn’t use protection during the sexual intercourse. HIV symptoms include fatigue, fever, flu like symptoms, skin rashes, white spots in the mouth, diarrhea, swollen lymph nodes, and weight loss.
