How to Get Rid of Stress Headaches

The first symptoms of stress usually include anxiety, nervousness, bad thoughts, headaches, aggressive behavior, insomnia, excessive sweating, rapid heartbeat, and a desire to talk to … your partner, mother and colleagues…to tell them to get lost, all of them. Yes – this is quite normal if you’re stressed. In fact, this desire doesn’t include any aggressive behavior. The problem occurs when you start ‘dreaming’ about punching someone in the face.

Stress can be caused by several factors. If you don’t have time to spend on yourself and some relaxing activities, this can lead to stress.

If you are working like crazy, but have no time to relax, this will certainly get you stressed. If you have a stressful job and you are taking it home with you, it will result in – stress. If you cannot communicate to your partner and can’t get any understanding and support, this will increase your chances of getting stressed.

If you are unhappy with your job and success in life, this will only make things worse, and you will end up – stressed. If your kids won’t listen to whatever you say, this will make you constantly irritated. You will start reacting to almost everything. The neighbor’s dog, your mom’s cat, your partner’s clothes, your kids’ voices, your co-worker’s tie…everything! It is just a matter of time when you will snap and destroy everything around you, isn’t it so?

To prevent this, here are some things you can do to get rid of stress.

♦ Take a piece of paper. Write down your problems. Once you put them on paper, they will look simple. But guess what? They ARE simple. You made them complicated. Once you see that these problems are solvable, you will feel much better. Next thing you have to do is start solving them. Write down what you have to do to solve each of these problems, and keep this paper! Whenever you feel like there is no  way out, read your notes!

♦ Go out more. By this, we don’t mean that you should go out and stay up late, because you will get tired, which will make you even more nervous. You should go out for long walks, to some quiet places. If you can’t stand crowds, find a quiet place where you can walk and relax in peace.

♦ Don’t drink alcohol. Alcohol can only trigger bad moods. People tend to believe that alcohol can relax them. Well, this is wrong. Alcohol can get you drunk, and that’s all. When you get sober, your problems will be waiting for you, so as your stress.

♦ Try avoiding stressful conversations. If you have a problem, you should solve it calmly and reasonably. You should talk to a person involved in this problem, but don’t make this conversation stressful. Stay calm and see if you can work things out.

♦ You must get enough sleep. If you are tired, this will make your condition much worse. Sleep will regenerate your body and your mind, too. You will be smarter in the morning! Your own problems won’t seem so bad once you get some rest.
