How old was Jesus when he died? Jesus of Nazareth was the Christian central personality. According to what the Bible says, Jesus Christ was the son of God who came to Earth to save the human kind. He tried to save people from their on sins, but he was killed when he was 33.
The canonical gospels are main sources from which we can learn about the life and the death of Jesus Christ. His teachings and beliefs are also described here. Still, it seems that there are certain discrepancies and modern historians are trying to answer some questions regarding Jesus’ life and death.
According to traditional beliefs, Jesus’ mother Marry was a virgin. He was a son of God and he could do miracles. He could make dead people come into life. He dedicated his life to teaching people how to be free from sin and how to fight their own vices, bad thoughts and temptations. He was baptized when he was thirty. This event is described as a divine, magnificent act.
Good Friday is celebrated as commemoration of the crucifixion of Jesus. He was crucified and died on the cross. According to religious sources, his thoughts were peaceful in these moments. The legend says that he resurrected and went to heaven. Christians believe that one day all good people will go to heaven after death. That is why it is extremely important to develop virtues and noble thoughts towards other people. There are Christian rules that must not be broken no matter what. There are things one should never do and sins one must never commit. Those are the deadly sins. There are seven of them: lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, anger, envy and pride. If you stop and think, you will see that each of these vices sometimes ‘play games’ with our lives. Sometimes we feel helpless in jaws of these vices. Each of them can destroy one’s life in a second. Each of them can be so powerful that person can not even see what is happening to him/her. We can only see it from distance and after time has passed. However, it is important to control our vices and try not to let them take control over us. There are virtues that can help people fight these vices. Those virtues are chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness and humility. Jesus’ teaching was based on those virtues.
